RESEARCH-CREATION
PAGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The research-creation project I am conducting as part of my doctoral studies explores how and in what ways artificial light conditions the environment, organizes perceptions, and acts directly on bodies and their states. I approach it as a relational force that shapes our ways of feeling, perceiving, inhabiting the stage and, by extension, the world.
To study and experience these effects, I am developing an exploratory process that intersects the practices of Viola Spolin and Augusto Boal. From Spolin, I draw on attention games and theatrical improvisation. From Boal, I borrow his theatrical games, his political engagement, and the subversion of power relations. These theoretical and practical frameworks are explored through the creation of *Where the Ordinary Collapses*, using protocols of light exploration, physical exercises, guided walks, interactions with luminous objects, and role-playing scenarios.
I am therefore seeking to identify how light structures regimes of visibility, influences bodily states and (re)produces power dynamics to promote the reappropriation by participants of these luminous forces.
In this sense, light becomes a matrix of experience for bodies and imaginations during the creative process and at the very moment of performance.
